Consent to personal data processing

When separate consent is needed and how to confirm it. An ordinary email enquiry needs no extra confirmation.

← Legal information

1. When this consent is used

To ask a question by email, simply send a message: ordinary consideration and a reply do not require separate consent. The necessary data is processed on the grounds and within the limits stated in the policy. These terms are used only where particular processing must rely on consent. Consent is addressed to Andrei Viktorovich Svirin, owner of arbitr.law; contact: andrei.svirin@arbitr.law.

2. Purpose and data

The purpose is to consider the identified question, clarify necessary circumstances, assess a correction or proposal and reply. Data comprises email, any supplied name or pseudonym, subject, message and relevant attachments, dates and correspondence metadata. Any additional necessary data is identified before processing. Other persons’ data, special categories, biometric identification data and data authorised for public dissemination are outside this consent.

3. Operations and limits

Permission covers necessary receipt, recording, organisation, storage, correction, retrieval, use to reply, restriction, deletion and destruction through email software and the owner’s review. Email services provide technical delivery and storage; the policy applies. This consent does not authorise advertising, visit analytics, publication of the message, contacts or materials, or their transfer for AI-model training.

4. When separate confirmation is needed

If particular processing requires consent, the owner will send a separate request before it starts. The request will identify the purpose, data, processing operations, duration and applicable terms. You do not need to draft and send a consent statement with an ordinary question.

Consent may be expressed in a separate reply explicitly confirming the terms in the request. The correspondence must establish who consented and to what. Confirmation is not combined with licence acceptance or analytics consent. Where the law requires written consent, the requirements for that form apply.

5. Duration and withdrawal

Consent lasts until the stated purpose is completed, for no more than one year from receipt of the relevant enquiry, or until withdrawal, whichever occurs first. Send withdrawal to the same email and identify the enquiry. If no other ground exists, processing ends and data is destroyed within 30 days. Processing for a legal duty or protection of rights is assessed separately; withdrawal does not automatically destroy records that must be retained on an independent ground.

6. Free choice

Declining does not restrict access to the website’s materials. If a particular question cannot be considered without particular data, only that interaction is affected. Visiting this page, opening an email application, remaining silent or sending a message without a separate expression of consent does not accept these terms. Separate consent follows Article 9 of Law 152-FZ as effective from 1 September 2025.
