Gratuitous use of submitted materials

Terms for separate permission allowing the website owner to use a submitted work without payment.

← Legal information

1. Purpose and parties

This page sets out incoming licence terms for voluntarily submitted materials. The rights holder may grant permission to Andrei Viktorovich Svirin, a citizen of the Russian Federation and owner of arbitr.law, after separately confirming the particular work and terms. Reading the page or sending a message or attachment does not conclude a licence or grant publication rights.

The licensor is the holder of the necessary exclusive rights or their authorised representative. Authorship alone does not establish retention of all rights following a publisher contract. Before use, the parties identify the rights holder, authority, work, text version, files and permitted passages. Future messages, extra files and third-party works are not automatically included.

2. Permitted use

Once properly agreed, the licence is non-exclusive and permits digital reproduction of the identified work and making it available to the public on arbitr.law, including its Russian and English versions. The rights holder retains copyright and may use the work and license others.

Only agreed works or passages and necessary non-distorting technical formatting are permitted. Translation, creative adaptation, substantive abridgment and changes need separate permission. An English website version does not itself authorise translation. Sublicensing, separate sale, third-party advertising, publication on other websites or social networks and AI-model training are not included.

3. No payment, territory and term

The licence is gratuitous: no payment is due for the granted rights or their permitted use. The territory is worldwide, reflecting internet access. Unless another term is agreed in writing, the term is five years from proper conclusion of the agreement and never beyond the copyright term. Merely sending a file beforehand does not start that period.

Renewal is agreed separately. Public availability ends when the term expires unless renewed or supported by another lawful ground. An openly accessible archive is also use and does not become perpetual merely because the work was once published.

4. Authorship, credit and other rights

Before publication, the parties agree the author’s name, pseudonym or author-approved anonymous use. A sender’s email does not become public credit. Moral rights remain. A work licence does not replace the grounds needed for a person’s image, private-life information, personal data or third-party works included in the material.

Official documents and judgments excluded from copyright by Civil Code Article 1259 do not become the sender’s exclusive property. Commentary, photographs, unofficial translations and design require their own rights assessment. The licensor grants only rights they are entitled to license.

5. Separate written confirmation

Agreement takes place through andrei.svirin@arbitr.law or a document signed by the parties. Confirmation must reliably establish the parties and their intention and identify the work and version, permitted acts, term, territory, absence of payment and author credit. It identifies these terms dated 28 October 2026 and any agreed departures. Email is used subject to written-form requirements; knowing an address or receiving an unverified short acceptance does not establish authority.

Publication permission is recorded separately from personal-data consent. Before a licence is properly concluded, materials are considered only within the review purpose and lawful ground. Neither offering permission nor concluding a licence requires the owner to publish.

6. Changes, termination and retention

Changes to or termination of a concluded licence follow the agreement and law. An offer may be withdrawn before conclusion. Revising this page does not retroactively change an earlier licence. Withdrawing data consent is not the same as terminating a copyright contract; necessary rights evidence is retained only within an independent purpose and the policy.

7. Contact and applicable law

Send questions about these terms, a particular permission or an alleged infringement to andrei.svirin@arbitr.law, identifying the work and correspondence. Russian law applies, including Civil Code Articles 1235, 1236, 1265, 1266 and 1286. The submission rules govern initial review. This page is not a general open licence for the website’s own content.
