1. Owner and purpose
Arbitr.law is owned by Andrei Viktorovich Svirin, a citizen of the Russian Federation. It presents his education and publications, explanations of arbitration and analysis of legislation and judgments. Contact: andrei.svirin@arbitr.law. These terms cover the Russian and English versions of arbitr.law.
2. Information and individual arrangements
General materials are not individual advice on a particular case. A rule or judgment’s relevance depends on the facts, applicable version of the law, seat and procedure. Publishing materials and sending an email do not themselves accept an engagement, appoint an arbitrator, commence arbitration or conclude a legal-services contract. Such arrangements require separate lawful agreement.
3. Copyright and quotation
Reading materials and saving links requires no registration. Authored texts, photographs, design and other protected elements remain subject to their rights. Lawful quotation follows Civil Code Article 1274, including purpose, justified extent and attribution of author and source. It is not blanket permission to republish or translate any complete text. Seek the rights holder’s permission where the proposed use requires it.
Official documents, judgments and official translations are excluded from copyright within Civil Code Article 1259(6). This does not automatically cover third-party commentary, scholarly articles, publisher design or unofficial translations. A citation or hosted copy does not mean the owner can license another person’s publication. The gratuitous licence concerns materials voluntarily submitted to the owner, not blanket permission to copy the website.
4. Sources, versions and external links
Source records distinguish the official resource from the source of a hosted copy. A verification date concerns the identified material and does not mean every instrument is always in its newest version. Before a procedural step, check the current rule and complete judgment. External resources have their own terms; linking does not endorse all their contents.
5. Proper use and responsibility
Do not interfere with the website, bypass access restrictions, distribute malicious code or use materials unlawfully or in breach of others’ rights. Open availability does not permit claiming authorship or implying the author’s participation in another project. Applicable law determines liability; these terms do not exclude liability where exclusion is prohibited.
6. Requests, data and changes
For a correction, identify the page, passage and supporting source. For a rights concern, explain the right and requested action. Sending a message does not predetermine the response or correction. The policy governs data, separate consent governs analytics and the submission rules govern submitted files.
Revised terms carry a date. They do not retroactively change an existing licence or constitute new data consent. Russian law applies subject to mandatory rules governing the particular relationship and the right to judicial protection.
