Technical data and cookies

What serves the website, what is stored in the browser and what the analytics choice controls.

← Legal information

1. Three different operations

Loading a page sends a browser request and technical information to the website server. Separately, the website stores the analytics choice in localStorage, the browser’s local storage. The third operation is optional Yandex Metrica, connected only after permission. Declining it does not block reading, searching or the email link.

2. A 180-day preference record

The arbitr.analytics.v1 record contains allow or deny, the time, expiry, terms version and counter number. It contains no name, email or enquiry text. It lasts for 180 days in this browser and honours the choice rather than recognising a person across websites. The application has no server-side register of this record. Expiry, deletion or a required terms-version change prompts a new choice; analytics remains off until permission is renewed.

3. Metrica identifiers

A permitted counter may use cookies and localStorage to distinguish browsers and visits. Yandex documentation gives examples: _ym_uid and _ym_d lasting up to one year, _ym_isad for 20 hours, _ym_metrika_enabled for 60 minutes and _ym_hostIndex for one day. The actual set depends on the service and browser; these are documented mechanisms, not a claim that every visitor receives every identifier. The 180-day choice and cookie lifetimes are separate periods.

Metrica receives visit information including IP address, browser, device, time, viewed page URLs and referrer within the service’s operation. Do not place personal information in the website URL. The code does not supply a custom UserID, name, email or message contents, although the service may use automatic browser identifiers. Session Replay, click maps and dedicated link tracking are disabled.

4. Changing the choice and deletion

Open Analytics settings in the footer and choose Without analytics. Measurement stops and the choice is synchronised across open tabs of this site in the same browser. The application removes accessible _ym-prefixed cookies and corresponding Metrica localStorage entries. It cannot delete another domain’s cookies, control a different browser or thereby destroy data already transmitted to Yandex.

You can also clear site data in the browser, restrict cookies or install the Yandex Metrica opt-out extension. Deleting the preference prompts a new choice but does not start analytics automatically. Settings apply to the particular browser and site address; check them separately on another device or domain.

5. Pages without the counter and local functions

Metrica does not run on /legal/ and its documents, /contacts/ or the former /privacy/ page, including English equivalents, even after earlier permission. Material searches run in the browser. The technical requests needed to load and protect pages are transmitted independently of the analytics choice.

6. Recipient and requests

YANDEX LLC, 16 Leo Tolstoy Street, Moscow, provides the service under the Metrica terms and applicable Yandex policy. Send questions about website choices and processing to andrei.svirin@arbitr.law. The policy and analytics consent explain rights, periods and withdrawal.
